This is the second of the natural edge winged bowls that I'm working on.
This one has lots more curl than the last and is a little larger.
It measures 13 1/2" X 3 1/2" tall and the bowl part is 6 1/4". Finish is Gel Poly and buffed on the beall.

Jim, this piece is absolutely gorgeous. Like a piece of polished marble. The wood glows. Just wonderful and the inclusions in the bottom make it very interesting. Great job!

the color is pretty much dead on John in the first 2 pics. Don't know why the last one is kinda yellow? I didn't do much to it but reduce the size.

Well butter my bee-hind and call me a biscuit! SHAZAM! Jim, that is one fantastic turning there! Every time I tell you "that's one of my favorites" you do something like this. So I'm not gonna say it any more... nope, not even once more... not even... aw, what the heck... this is DEFINITELY one of my favorites!

Way to go!

Thanks for the pics!

And then, there's my "favorite" quetion: How do you finish off the foot on those types of pieces? Vacuum chuck? Jamb chuck between centers? Glue some sandpaper to your hand and go back and forth for hours??? :D
