I've recently heard good things about a paint intended for trim and cabinets. http://www.insl-x.com/product-detail/inslx-products/cabinet-coat-enamel
It is waterborne, with urethane and acrylic resin. I hear it dries fast and hard (not like latex), and that it sprays well with HVLP.
The key thing is that INSL-X is owned by Benjamin Moore. Some BM dealers stock Cabinet Coat, and others should be able to order it. It is tinted to BM's color palette with BM's standard pigments.
