I'm taking on my first bandsaw box for a granddaughter. The stock is five layers of Peruvian Walnut glued up with an effective depth of cut of 4¾”. The tightest curves require a 3/16” blade.
I have a 3/16” Starrett Duratec SFB with 10-tooth pitch. I was concerned 10 TPI may be too fine in pitch for that depth of cut. Can I feed slow enough for that blade to work or should I go looking for something with a more coarse pitch?
Thanks,
TAB
