Was searching a thread on another board not long ago when I ran across a planer tip to help with snipe on smaller boards. The gist of the message was to raise the trailing end of the board upon entry, then raise the leading end of the board just before it exits the knives. Hmmm, says I, I've fought with my old delta 12" er since I bought the dern thing. I tried it last night working with some 11" wide X 3/4" thick pine. Lo and behold, it worked like a champ. Whoda thunk it? Anyway, thought I would pass this.
Merry Christmas ( no offense to the "Holiday" crowd)

Doug, My last planner was the Delta 12” “Snipe Master”. I found the most consistent “snipe” eliminator was using the train method with a sacrificial lead-in/follow-out piece. I kept an assortment of throw away MDF strips about 1” wide X ~12” long for that purpose.
