I'm having problems tracking down a simple hinge arm and was hoping someone here had a source or possibly even just a better search term.

I need something that is wall mountable, has an arm at least 14" long, and can hold roughly 25-30 pounds.

Basically, something like a tv mount but without all the extra crap on the end. I'm trying to mount a board/shelf that I can pull away from the wall when I'm using it for a project, but push back up almost against the wall when not in use so it takes up less space.

Something like this WITHOUT the electrical outlet would work well: tpi industrial dock arm (https://www.google.com/search?q=tpi+industrial+dock+arm)

Keith, would you be looking at something that you could build yourself?

Here's a simple design that I've made in the past. Lots of variations to that. I've mounted it on a French-cleat system before.

If I was doing this today, I would do the arm like this.

How about a computer monitor arm?

Honestly, I'd just make it myself, either out of wood or square-stock metal tube. You can get exactly what you want and nothing you don't.

I just got a boom arm off Amazon. Copied off a guy on youtube.
