I am looking for a used electric drill on ebay. I get about 1500 hits when I limit it to Millwaukee. But if I add "-battery" it only returns 5. I looked and there were at least 50 + items with no "battery" in the listing. Have they dumbed down their search engine so you can not limit to to what you want?

This may make it almost as unusable as the big box stores where adding limiters increases the returns. I have given up on searching the box stores sites unless I know the exact name of the item. Even then I can be swamped with spurious hits.

I typed in "Milwaukee electric drill" and got 573 hits. Adding -battery gave me 429.

I searched for electric drill and "electric drill". 54,012 hits and 12,873 with quotation marks. Seems like it works to me. I narrow it down more with the parameters. Brand, location, etc.

They need to stop changing ebay. I bet sales are down,it's like flipping thru the yellow pages

I typed in.... Electric Milwaukee drill used ...... and got 99 hits. That is very manageable. You could use the word pre-owned.

I just tried again this afternoon, milwaukee drill, got 11,229 hits. Added -battery and went down to 12. The 11,229 included lots of drill bits etc that would not mention battery. What gives?
