Some of you have seen this table before. My wife just found the chairs she has been looking for to complete the orginal plan for this table. It's taken a year to find them. (on sale $59 ea.) I built the table out of hard maple and had the glass top made. It has what's called a triple pencil edge on it. She's happy, I'm happy. Just in time for Christmas!

Way cool, Chris!!! That's a fine job and, I'll bet everything had to be dead-nuts right on for that glass to sit on there with absolute zero wobble! :) Very fine job and super deal on those chairs, as well!:)

Chris, I can understand why your wife is happy - the table you made her is beautiful! The chairs she found complements the table perfectly! But the price......man, you should be happy - the woman got a fantastic buy on those! Together....a wonderful set!

Chris,
Really stylish piece of work!! Care to share the approximate cost (and weight)of a chunk of glass that size?

The glass top measures 42 x 72 x 1/2. If I remember right we paid a little over $400 for it, which included extra for the triple pencil edging.

Chris, what ever you paid for the pencil edge, it was worth it!:D It's a very professional looking set.

Chris, it all came together nice! I agree about the chairs - they either add to the beauty of the table or take it away. Your wife did good!

Chris, I hadn't seen your table before. I really like the mix of wood and glass, and the design of the base. I'm guessing the glass top saved you a lot of finishing headaches, huh? ;)

That realy a great job, Chris. Fine contempory styling, and the chairs you wife found fit the table design to a T.
