Thanks George!
I was stuck on 95 to 97 pounds for the longest time.
Got a bit ticked off today at the pool and just let it all out - went until I was all done in - 3 kilometers.
Got on the scale after that & I was at 230!

Congrats. Where did you lose that weight, I think I found some of it. Recently wife said something about me gaining weight. I'm 71 now and weigh five pounds more than I did when I was forty five. But I do weigh almost a hundred pounds more than I did when I was twenty one. I was a sure enough SKINNY rat.

1800 calories a day & exercise enough to burn off over that amount.

No magic/nothing special - other than stick with it, even when it seems like it's not working.

Fitness Pal dot com is a good start. It helps you track your daily calorie intake.

I gained weight at 1600 calories a day, working out at the gym at least 3 times a week. Used Fitness Pal like a religious bible and still only got down 30 pounds and started gaining weight even at 1400 calories per day.

only got down 30 pounds and started gaining weight even at 1400 calories per day.Something you really have to watch out for is the conversion of fat to muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat, so, it might appear that you are either gaining weight or not losing any weight - when in fact, you are losing fat but putting on muscle.

Having said that - - everyone's metabolism is going to be different & the amount you lose is going to vary widely - all I can relate is what worked for me,which is simple portion control and burning up more daily calories than I take in.

Good luck and hang in there!

Yes, yes it does! Sorry to hear that your weight loss results from tough circumstances.
