BLO on hardwood floor?

I am going to be installing about 1200 sq/ft of cypress flooring soon. I am going to be doing the finishing. I have looked at several finishing products, oil, water based etc. I have seen several references about using BLO for the finish. What’s your opinion as to using BLO for the finish?

It's not durable, nor will it provide any real protection for the floor. It will bring out the grain and give you a very nice look.....but I believe that you really need a good "floor" finish if you want to best protect your investment, labor, and look of the floor over time. JMO though.;)
