I would like to find a compressed air dryer for the counter balance on my cnc and came across a Norgren D99 010 002? (last number illegible).

Specs are:
1/6hp 115 v single phase R134A
Compressor FLA 2.9 LRA 18
Flow rate 010 scfm
Inlet pressure 100 psig
inlet and ambient temperatures 100 degree F

I'm told that a pancake type compressor will work for this.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Ron

Honestly, I just use a regular static moisture filter for this purpose. It's in the line at the drop for my CNC and is an additional filter from the main, larger system moisture filter. As to your air source, you don't need anything hefty since the counterbalance doesn't "use" air. It just leverages the constant pressure to reduce the effort required by your Z-axis motor/servo to lift the heavy spindle. A pancake compressor is just fine for this. (I did pipe into my shop compressor since I already had that in place)
