Hi -

For those that may not know - Rob Hanson and his wife had a home/shop in Paradise CA, and have lost everything in the "Camp fire" wildfire.

You can see a note from him here:

www.evenfallstudios.com

Rob has also lost his livelihood, as shop and tools have all been destroyed.

They have set up a gofundme account to help get through the next few months....the link is on their website.

Having lost several close family members and a few other set backs these last couple of years, I can not imagine how tough it would be to loose my home, shop, etc. Especially my shop. ( My sanctuary ) With that being said, I would like to make a small proposal, if allowable. I don't have many saws lying around these days, but for the next two or three weeks, any of my mallets, scribes, or half blind dove tail tools sold will go 100% to raise funds for Rob. The dove tail tools may be 0.015", 0.020", or 0.025". I believe I have about 10 of them waiting to be assembled at the moment.
I will have to check on the saws and post pics. of them later. All I ask is that if you should buy some thing, do so through my email, and on pay pal, make a note it is for the donation, so I am able to keep things straight on my end. Mods, please let me know if this is not allowed.
Thank you,
Ron

Just an FYI. I, with the help of some folks at WoodNet, have met my goal and in fact exceeded the goal a lot quicker than I thought we would. So I will probably let this go the rest of the week. Thank you to those that have purchased items for the donation.
Best wishes,
Ron

I had a long telephone call with Rob. He and Kristy are doing well, living with her parents and figuring out what to do and where to go next. She works for the county so her job is ongoing. He's amazed at how busy he is, pulling things together to put their lives back together. They haven't even been allowed back in yet as there remains a high risk from toxic chemicals, compromised (but still full) propane tanks, etc. He's not hoping to find much salvageable but is antsy to see what there is to see. Spirits are good and he's so grateful for the outpouring of good wishes and donations, that are keeping them going for the time being.

So please don't hesitate to help them out. They still need help and need it now. Links to donation sites are here: http://www.evenfallstudios.com/

Thanks, everybody.

It’s got to be a process putting your life back together. My family did the same after a flood when I was a teenager and it took a toll on my parents. Praying for them.
