Afternoon all,
I have a Steelex ST1101 jointer (same as the Grizzly G0490). I've had it about a year but haven't use it all that much. The vibration was really bad when I first assembled it and I took some time to correct it before it's first use. I thought I had everything lined up but there is definitely still some vibration (push pads will move across the tables if left set). Since I don't use it all that often I've been reluctant to take the time to address the vibration. I have a few days off next week so I figured I'd try to get it dialed in if it's needed.
How much vibration is okay? What are the effects on the machine from the vibration? Should a jointer pass the nickel test?
Thanks
