I think a discovery is in the works that grain patterns in wood are a language on a much deeper level. That it may be communicating to us as to their understanding of why they are. Just need to uncover the format.

Did you know research is ongoing as to how to recreate conversations during which a reed or such is being used to give texture on a piece of pottery while being formed thousands of years ago......
