Anyone use them? How do you like them?

I have several Amana V-Bits that use rotatable/replaceable insert knives and really, really like them. They are extraordinarily well balanced and seem to cut a lot quieter than the v-bits I have that are typical braised cutters. My spoilboard/planing cutter is also Amana insert style. I have not (yet) tried other profiles, but wouldn't hesitate.

Agree with @Jim Becker. I have a 1.5" planing/spoilboard cutter and it works well. High price point for entry, but even the cheapest planing cutter is about $20-30. That's what I pay for a new set of cutters, which are essentially equal to 4 of those throw away bits. Made my money back the first time I surfaced a bunch of hickory slabs.

I use one for chamfering on the router table. Works great and I can just barely rotate the inserts with the router in position.
