A very good friend of mine has a small shipyard and one of his employees has been sick a long time. He has a hard time finding someone to fill in for him so he asked me if I could help him with a boat. In the first picture you can see the wooden frames I made for the wheel house. The second picture is of the dashboard. The third picture is a cabinet in the wheel house.

Nicely done! What finish did you use?

I didn't finish it myself. My friend used a semi gloss marine grade varnish.

Nice work!

Oh, and I'm guessing you don't live in Nebraska.

Beautiful work! That kind of work will lead to more job offers than you can handle.

I've recently had to hire two people to work for me full time because I can no longer handle it alone.

This isn't what I normally do. I make custom furniture but I have worked on boats a couple of times in the past. When the opportunity arises like it did now I won't say no.

And thank you everyone for the nice compliments :)

Wow!

I might sound a bit weird saying this, but your husband is lucky to be married to such a craftswoman!
Also, you seriously owe it to yourself to get a nice gennou.

My husband has 2 left hands so he knows how lucky he his :D

Like I said in a previous post, I've used my dad's gennous but I just prefer a wooden mallet. That won't change.

Yeah, just "some stuff" you made.;) My definition of "some stuff" is a birdhouse and a box made from scrap.

Gorgeous work. Congratulations.
