Thought I would ask y'all whether this is a good deal or not.
Cant find a lot of info on it at the Laguna site.

Google brings up a good amount of info on it. It appears to be discontinued. I found one site that listed the price at $1,895.

That is part of the 3000 series which was an Asian saw and retailed for significantly less than they are asking when new and this one is priced over the 18" 18BX which is the only current Asian saw Laguna sells in the 16-18" range.

Probably $1000 over what I think would be fair. While some people might like the idea of new in the crate I would rather have a lightly used saw. The majority of machine issues happen either right out of the crate or shortly afterward when you have a warranty, this one has no warranty but none of the initial potential problems have been vetted.

Thanks for that link, I didn't find that when I googled or I skipped over it.
So price wise when new it's much more comparable to the 18BX instead of the LT16 HD.
Thanks again.

Correct you can NOT compare it to the ACM built Italian Laguna saws. The 18BX is actually a bigger heavier saw than the 16 3000 and is upgraded in a lot of ways. This saw is simply overpriced, they sold for about $700 less when they were new. The buyer is probably getting their pricing based on the Laguna Italian LT16HD which is the only 16" saw Laguna sells currently.

Considering you can buy the BX18 on sale (they go on sale regularly) for $1800 this is just a horrible buy and doubtful the owner will come down to a reasonable price unless it sits for months.
