I knew that was eventually going to happen! Funny thing is the moose weren't even wearing camouflage. Guess the guy wasn't paying attention. Probably trying to figure out where he left his beer.

Up our way in NH there are signs on the roads to beware of moose. Last I check 50 people have been killed in car - moose collisions. They are so heavy and tall that if you hit one the legs fold and the body comes through the windshield. You don't want 800-1100 pounds of moose coming through your windshield. It could ruin your whole day.

I've thought about this many times over years of elk and whitetail deer hunting. As hunters we spend millions on every kind of camo pattern imaginable. But deer, elk, moose standing perfectly still 50 yards out in the woods are almost invisible. Their God given brown coat is better than anything man made. But our camo does look better sitting around the campfire or at the coffee shop.:)
