Do you mean the 788? I cant find that DeWalt has ever made a scroll saw with the model number 1088.

Dewalt only makes one scroll saw, so it is the DW788. They made two types with the only difference being country of origin. Type 1's were made in Canada and type 2's are made in Taiwan.

I paid $250 for a Type 1 with stand and light in December of 2011. That being said, they are a quality tool due to the cast iron top and still hold their value.

If the condition is good with minimal to no rust, I would say offer in the $150 - $250 range.

You will get better info on a scroll saw forum like Scroll Saw Village.

Another 788 owner here. As stated I see them used from $200 to $400. Since you can catch them new on sale for $400, those $400 used folks are going to wait a long time to sell their saw ;-) Mine is in beautiful shape, has light and stand, lots of blades, magnetic magnifier lamp and so forth. I would expect to get somewhere between $200 and $300 depending on the market when I sold it.

Thanks Glenn, How is the quality of the saw? I have a 25 year old 20" vs Delta but very weak right hand which makes it difficult to pull the control knob. Looks like the 788 would be much easier. How is the quality of the 788 ?

What is the difference between a 10788 and a DW788?
