Well...I'm still fighting my photo booth so I just went simple. This is a piece of Pink Myrtle Burl that I wanted to go for the form that Mark Singer illustrated in the Redwood Vase thread. It's finished with BLO/Shellac/DNA cocktail and buffed up. 6" high and 4" in diameter. Critiques welcome!

Grrr...I just took a level shot and put the pics together. I guess I missed the mark by quite a bit. Guess I'll have to do another one!

Hey, John. That's pretty close. Probably could have done better if Mark had the real piece sent to you to copy. Ask nice, maybe he will:cool:
I'm gonna turn one of these tomorrow. Tired of ornnaments and other spindly things.

Wow John, I'm really liking those vases you keep cranking out. I gotta try some HF stuff. I too like the collar or lip at the top
