Greetings,
Wow what a past week it has been at the day job! I can say that I'm really glad that last week is over. I started oncall duty today but my hope is that this week will be a quiet and productive week at work. Did a bit of yard work around the house, cleaned up some of the garden spot, and I'm still enjoying fresh hot peppers out of my garden. The best peppers I grew and ate from this year is Dragon Cayenne. Oh what a wonderful pepper it is! Even makes a really good homemade hot sauce! Went to the liver doc on Thursday and said that he was really happy with my weight loss and my overall results were very favorable. So good news for me and I don't have to see him again for another 6 months, but I have 25 more pounds to lose before my next appointment. :o My hope and prayer is that I am able to get past the weight "stall" that I usually seem to reach at around 255 pounds. I'm at 258.2 pounds right now and I started off at 285. The LOML and I are still going to the gym but we are continually making changes to our eating habits and portion sizes. We are both feeling better and are able to do more without being worn out at the end of the day.
We are now at week 8 of the 9 week Financial Peace University get out of debt course and we are really making some awesome progress. In about 3 weeks from today, we will pay off debt #3 and we are truly excited about seeing the "light at the end of the tunnel".
Looking forward to cooler weather later this month and that means that I'll be getting back in my shop to get some things made that I've been planning on for some time now.
That's it for me.....Happy Labor Day to you and what did YOU do this past week?
Best of weeks to you all.
