View Full Version : Slotting cross cut jig

Greetings from San Antonio with post #1. I made a cross cut jig for my new contractor saw. I need to cut a 1/4” deep groove 6” long on top of the rails just in front of the fence. All i can think of is hand saw cutting a bunch of kerfs and finishing by hand. That would be a good learning for me to make it look good but I'm wondering if theres a slicker way to do it. My radial arm saw is apart.

A slot cutting bit on a router table can make that cut.

Ah, yes, I see. I went ahead and did it be hand cuttung kerfs and chiselling. Not that hard to do once I did the unexcepted and planned it out. Second one was better and faster than the first.
