Three different stops during all that walking....4 counting the break for a glass of ice water.....
392646
Stanley No. 82 set me back $10
392647
That pile of saws on the table? They were missing this little $3 WS backsaw....
392648
And a $1 Stanley No. 945-8

Besides carrying these three things around, and a "Bumbershoot" ( tended to sprinkle today..) AND take a few photos....had to stop a few times, to cool off, and rest up....

Fest runs through Monday evening....BTW...

The Stanley No. 82 is now cleaned up...
392664392665
That knurled bolt has "Stanley" Rule & Level Co. New Britain CONN USA stamped on it.
392666
There is a patent date here...1-29-07
Sharpening?
392667
Still a Work-in-progress....
Went from this thing..
392668
Keystone W.S. very fine tooth ( haven't got a count, yet) to this..
392669
Seems to be a crosscut sort of saw.
Which only leaves that Stanley No. 945-8 to clean up.....might wait until the shop cools off...

Wasn't too bad of a day....

The "Before"....
392712
Jaws still had their spring..
392713
Then..the "After"
392714
So, now I have this..
392715
"Twins"?
392716
945-8 Chucks have "Made [STANLEY] in USA" stamped on it...
392717
Could be a hint this is a Stanley ?

Second try on the blade for the 82..
392718
Wentworth No. 1 to hold things. File to joint the edge free of nicks. Then file a 45 degree bevel. Large, round shafted, screwdriver, to turn a burr.....600 grit stone to smooth the bevel a bit...
392719
Getting there...still a work in progress..

I think that will do for one day...
