I was cleaning and Johnson waxing some of my tool today. I do this because they were under water during Hurricane Harvey.
My two Starrett tri-square were under water. they are looking good I have a Starrett center finder that fits the squares,
Yes, this is a bit of a gloat.:)

If you re not familiar with center finders, google "Starrett Center Finder".

I have a center finder for my square. I've had it for many years, and it sees use less than once a year. It also fits my Starrett combination square even though it is a Craftsman part.

I have one of those too Lowell. It's one of those tools that I'm glad to have when I need it (couple times each year).

Center finders are great.

For flat stock one can use their combo square or other gauge to quickly find center using principles similar to using a divider.

But, Lowell, do you also have the protractor head? :)

Starretts purchased on eBay over about 20 years ....

$20 gloatworthy dollars for the lot at an estate auction about 10 years ago. I love Starrett tools.

They are very handy, and extremely accurate.
