Hey Carl, that might be the reason. :D In fact, it is quite close to the real reason. In Canada, at least, Thanksgiving is closely linked to the Autumn harvest and there is not a lot of harvesting going on here today. For example, I shoveled about 10 cm (4 inches) of snow off my sidewalk this morning.

I will turn around and ask you the question: Why is Thanksgiving so late in the USA? :confused:
