Hi,
Apologies if this question has been posted elsewhere. I looked but couldn't find an answer.
I'm trying to photoengrave sterling silver, but so far have had a series of expensive failures. I can engrave photos on steel, brass, copper etc. but silver is proving to be a real pain.
It seems that at powers settings that would engrave other metals, the silver is barely touched, and too much power simply blackens the piece.
Has anyone used a fiber laser to engrave a photo on silver? perhaps they could tell me the settings used?
