I was in need of a new stand for my AV equipment. And I wanted to break in my new shop. After looking online, I combined some of the designs with a few of my own to match my coffee and end tables. The wood is all cherry with Baltic Birch for the drawers. Mortise and tenion construction with cherry ply panels. The finish is 4 coats of homemade wipe on poly.

Beautiful work. Are the breadboards attached via through tenons or are the proud contrasting parts on the break boards plugs?

If through tenons, is there some compensation for wood movement?

Thank you Joe. They are just walnut plugs that I hand shaped with a disk sander and file. They hide the screws that hold the bread boards on.

That looks great vince. What did you do for your wipe on poly?

Thanks Dave. The wipe on is a 50/50 mix of mineral spirits and Varethan satin poly.

Very nice! My daughter likes cherry so she has a bedroom set and a kitchen table and chairs I made her out of it. Nice to work with but not cheap. The walnut caps on the breadboard ends makes me think of a hall table I built from fine woodworking plans where you screw the breadboard end on and high the screws with decorative caps. Works well on my table.
