While picking up some fertilizer Sunday at Lowes, I just happened by the tool department and they had a long table set up with some clearance items.

Hitachi M12V $159.99

Did you pick it up? If you didn't, you should, 'cuz it's a real good price!

Yes indeed I did. They had one more in the box and the demo at the West Knoxville Lowes.

I wonder if that signals a new model on the way or just another reduction of services at HD?

Hal,

I almost bought the same router in the west Knoxville Lowes. I wish I would have now, but couldn't justify it at the time. Oh well, maybe there's one in Maryville.

I went to Lowe's yesterday to see if they had any for that price. They did but, the sign
said it was the new low price. They dropped the price is all.
That's here in Kent, Wa. $159.00

The Lowes clearance has certainly been good to me. A DW733 planer last week and an M12V today. I had been researching planers and had decided on the Delta 2-speed but the DW733 price was too good to pass up. I also needed a heavier-duty router for my router-table to free up my PC690 for hand-held use. The local Lowes (Sanford, FL) had a few M12V's left but the planers were all gone. Did I mention the PC345 Saw Boss and Makita 12V cordless drill I bought last month? Saved all of this up for a one-time cover-everything type gloat. I've built enough cabinets and other stuff around the house so the LOML is pretty understanding about tool purchases.

Back to my normal lurking mode.

I stopped by Lowes last night and the 159 was their new regular price also. Steve
