This one is going out like crazy this morning, watch out and don't open e-mails from the FBI or CIA:

It is addressed to e-user@XXX.XXX from Admin@fbi.gov and has an attachment which they want you to open and answer "their" questions.

Here is what it looks like.

Dear Sir/Madam,

we have logged your IP-address on more than 30 illegal Websites.

Important:
Please answer our questions!
The list of questions are attached.

Yours faithfully,
Steven Allison

Technically, that's "phishing", not a virus, but yeah: keep your brain in gear when opening email.

Lee, from what I've read it's not a phishing expedition but a variant of the Sober worm is launched when you click the given link.

Lee, from what I've read it's not a phishing expedition but a variant of the Sober worm is launched when you click the given link.(Looks back at Joe's original message...ah, it's an attachment, not a link.) Sheesh, a virus disguised as a phishing attack...what's the line about never underestimating the gullibility/stupidity of the public?

And it's not even a virus hoax like it normally is.
FBI have a link on their main page about it.

As usual - keep your wits about you

I've since heard from people that have received it at work, on
supposedly secure PCs with firewalls and spam filters, and one guy has received it over a dozen times today.
