I managed to get an update to the firmware for the rdc6442S but I don't know how to apply it
any one here done it

Unzip it to a folder on your computer. With laser on, open rdworks. Click on config and then system settings and then tab system info. Click read button (don't need to input vendor password. If connected it should read in the current version of the firmware.
Then click upgrade firmware button and navigate to where you unzipped file. Click on file and it should upgrade in a few seconds. Machine should show upgrade successfully also. Reset and make sure update is there.
