Peerless Oil Fired conventional Boilers

I am in the process of getting a new boiler if needed and my Burner guy wants to sell me a Peerless boiler as in the title.

Has anyone on the forum experience in owning this boiler and has it been a reliable one to own.

The specific Model is a WBV-03.
I will probably get the Riello burner with it if I decide to get this boiler.

I'm sure if you could use natural gas you would.

Not familiar with the Peerless line but it might help if you mentioned if this is steam or pumped hot water system.

Sizing a boiler can be a real problem for a one pipe steam system. The norm is to size the radiators for the heat loss of the rooms, then size the boiler for the radiator capacity plus a pick up factor. Mis-sizing the boiler can result in wasted fuel and uneven heating. If your contractor is familiar with steam systems he can sort this out with no problem.

I would love natural gas to heat with John, but it is not available in my area.
I have a forced hot water hydronic system Tom. My home is a 1600 sq, ft. L ranch and the old boiler was sized pretty good for our needs. It was around 74000 btu.
I have heard both good and bad about the Peerless line of boilers. Some had good luck and others not so good. Thus my concern.
