I went and looked at the saw below today and intend to pick it up unless someone can talk me about of it :).

Delta Unisaw, 34-801, table is flat, motor sounds clean. I would put a shark on it (adjustable) and fence is smooth. They are asking $675 for it which seems like a fair price for the condition.

Thoughts?

Jet lock fence is not the greatest. That is all I got.

I have a TS-LS that I was thinking about putting on it if I grab it.

That looks like a very nice Unisaw. The fence isn't the best, but it will let you use the saw until you can find a better one. You will likely look long and hard to find a Unisaw in this or better condition if you don't buy this one.

If it was local to me, it would probably already be in the back of my truck:)

For that price you can't go wrong, unless your cutting sheets all the time I say that fence will work. But the B is much better but will cost new just little less than the saw itself. There is a demand for that type of fence so you could sell it for about 100.00 Your post was on 3rd,is the saw in your shop yet?

For that price you need to move fast before someone else does. That fence could be made to work well, but if you get the itch to upgrade, there are options on the market.

The Jet Lock CAN be a good fence but often inexperienced operators leave the fence locked for long periods of time. An internal rubber bushing wears and wallows and makes the fence a pain to use. The bushings (904080214550) are cheap enough and little more than annoying to replace.

I'd buy it right away and replace the fence with a Unifence.

I agree with Andy. I'd just as fast put a Biesemeyer fence on it too.

So James did you buy it?

I agree with Paul. :) And I have both.
