Yesterday I was able to buy the misc fittings and a filter at home depot. They did not have a vacuum gauge...Where is a good place to get one? I am watching a few on the auction site from the Bay area

MarK, what range and units are you after? I might know of one or two that I could get my hands on.

The surplus center does look good. There are Grainger stores all over the southland. You can do a google and find one near you. They carry everything it seems.

I'm with Sascha. I built my vacuum press using parts from Joewoodworker.com. Went and picked the parts up (he's relatively local) and talked with Joe. He's a great guy and a great help if you are building a vacuum system.
