This handle came with my Minimax MM16 (or possibly the CU300). It appears to be a handle for making a jig.
Anyone know what this is really for, and have you used it for something?

It's the bare bones handle to make a push-block.

I think I got one with my slider, so I suspect Mark got his with his combo.

That's probably correct. It was in a box of 'leftover parts'.

No way! I ordered a combination machine (different vendor/manufacturer) and this was one of my two mystery pieces left over this afternoon post assembly that I was about to email the vendor about. It sure looked like a start to a push block, but I wasn't sure. Quite the coincidence on timing.

Yeah, there's not much need for a push block on a bandsaw.

I've seen people use push blocks when resawing on a bandsaw.

I use a ton of different push blocks and sticks with a bandsaw and I am pretty sure Bruce does to, evidenced by the use of the "roll eyes" sarcasm emoji... :)

Best practice is to use whatever aid that provides the best safety while moving the material through the cutter and that applies to band saws, too. I can easily envison some circumstances where a "push block" might serve that purpose.

It's part "A" of a DIY Fritz und Franz jig for your slider...........Rod.

Yes, it was a tongue in cheek comment that didn’t convey well. :o
