A number of years ago SWMBO and I made a trip to San Diego and while we were there visited the Marston House.
I became acquainted with Greene and Greene style furniture. I ran across the book "Greene & Greene Furniture and
Related Designs" by Ransdell L Makinson that I purchased while there. I don't see any discussion in this group about
Greene & Greene furniture. We don't have any, but certainly appreciate the style.
I'm sure others in this newsgroup are familiar with the design.

We went to Torrey Pines. It is worth the trip by it self.

We also went to the San Diego Zoo.

Is this a duplicate thread of the one from June 18? https://sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?265772-Why-doI-never-see-Greene-and-Greene-furniture-mentioned

If I were going to SD again, I would slip up the coast a bit and visit Sherline Tools in Vista. They make some really nice small metal lathes and mills that can be had pretty reasonably. They are much higher quality than the chinese stuff at Harbor Freight and the accessories won't break the bank. I have both the lathe and the mill. I can't count the times I have wanted some little brass part or something and was able to make it.
