View Full Version : Drill Press Belt Replacement Help...

I have bench top HF drill press that I want to replace the belts on. The DP works good enough, however I'm thinking that I could reduce the machine's vibration by switching to link belts. Looking at the Accu-Link belts, they are supposed to fit 3L pulleys, but not 3V. I have no idea what I have. Help, please. Here's the 10", 12 speed dp model...

I cannot answer your question directly, i.e., yes or no. But, v-belts are numbered and lettered based on width, height and angle. I have an older craftsman drill press and the belts are much smaller than the belt on my table saw that has an acculink. If you measure what is on there now, and it might well be metric, then there are tables that tell you the correct code. Heres one from Zoro:
