I'm real new to woodworking and I need to know where to by wood for woodworking in this area besides Home Depot, Lowes, Woodcraft? :confused:

Yep...you really need to find a better place. If I had to depend on those 3, I'd have to give it up, Talking about expensive! I have a sawmill near me and get some wood from him, but when needing really good wood with alot of selection, I will drive to Dallas and buy from Austin Hardwoods. Prices are comparable to local guy, maybe a little more. It seems like Austin Hardwoods has a place in OKC. Might check it out.

Hey Don, I run a small shop in Stratford and I buy most of my lumber and sheet goods from Central hardwood. There is also Hogan Hardwood(used to be paxton) and Phoenix hardwood. All of these guys are either in the downtown area or within 10 or 15 minutes from there. Don't be afraid to ask the salesmen at each place to show around. They are all pretty nice guys.
