I have a set of magnetic dado shims and much prefer using them over the metal or plastic ones. The problem is they only come in 0.010", 0.012" and 0.015" sizes but sometimes I've wanted less than 0.010" or in between those sizes. Do they make them? Can you get a sheet and cut your own?

Blue tape works.

Never thought of that. Great idea and I'll try it but I'm still curious as to any one who makes ultra thin sheets less than 0.01"

You might be able to use a magnetic shim to stick a much thinner shim to a saw plate. But you may be able to avoid catching the non-magnetic shim in the arbor threads by putting all in immediately after the first blade.

Having all shims after the first blade (assuming you mean the one you install first) makes it harder/longer to readjust but using a magnetic shim to hold a thinner non magnetic shim might work
