On this day I think about my friends that I miss so much. What would they be like today? What may they have accomplished? Taken so young and so quickly.

They are not forgotten. That is our duty. May they rest in peace.

On this and many other days I remember the friends I lost. If I honor their sacrifice they live, if only in my memory. This day is not about barbeques and shopping. These friends paid the ultimate price.

Thanks for posting this Dave.
Today is one day of the year for reverence and remembrance. It is also a day to feel our blessings on a family such as mine with many who served and all came home.

Thanks for posting and for your service.
I was fortunate in that during my time in the Navy, there was only a single sailer lost from my ship.

The USCG Barque "Eagle" came to town and I got some shots, including the flag. The one in the telescope shot is 75' and the one in the other shots they fly when at dock and it is 50'. I share these images in honor of your lost friends.
