I tend to share these things when I happen to be using them. If I've shared this before, please ignore ;-) The things are handy for 'production' runs when I need a lot of something with a similar dimension but, different lengths.

For those who don't have commercial versions, these can be made from scrap milled to 1" x 1" square x 3-1/2" and 1-1/4" long pieces.

I use a 1/4" bolt and lock-nut for the axle and to set tension. It should move easily enough to be trouble free but, with enough resistance to stay up and out of the way when you want that.

The ends of the long piece need to be rounded for pivoting clearance.

I put sand paper on both sides of the clamping "leg" since I use them in both positions.
