Has anyone ever built a table which works well both for hold fasts and dust collection? Would drill holes for either Lee Valley / Gramercy 3/4” or Festool size 20mm. Seems like DC would be limited. Plus depth of sealed DC box below top would maybe need to be too deep (for optimal dust collection) to allow holdfasts to fit.

Thx

Consider doing it with the majority of the table setup for the holdfasts and dogs and one area for down-draft for hand-sanding. The down-draft portion needs a completely different setup for the holes than for assembly purposes.

Personally, if I were doing things all over, my workbench would have 20mm holes to match my move to metric across the board. As it is, I need both 3/4" and 20mm accessories and it would be nice to be "universal" in that respect. BTW, the Gramercy hold-fasts are excellent...one of the best bench investments I made outside of my Adjust-A-Bench.
