Carved Grizzly Wall Panel

I thought I’d post a Deep Relief Panel I had done for a commission. It’s carved from 2’’ x 8’’ Cypress Boards laminated together. I added a pic of me with the panel for perspective.

I remove the background depth with a router to a depth of about 1 1/4’’ . The next step is to use a grinder to set my depths and then all Dremel after that. Water can sure be tricky to carve, There was definately a learning curve on that! The frame is all part of the original slab and deep relief carved also.

I’ve also carved a Grizzly Bear, Bed Head Board for our own bed. My wide loves Bears! It was going to be a surprise but I struggle to keep a secret!
