Just completed my first ever table! The top needs to be sanded and the whole thing stained and then it'll go to its new home on the patio. Sure, there are things I could've done differently, but I'm proud of it! I would have done mortise & tenons for the frame, but I have no idea how to go about it. I'll have to do some experimenting. I still need to make benches, so maybe there's where I'll start.

A great start. Taking what you've learned and applying it to the next project (the benches) is what it is all about. Congrats.

I like the legs going all the way up to the top surface of the table.

Looks very useful. Keep at it. I learn something new every project. You will to.

We all love enthusium in others! It's like a free cup of coffee! Stain is not going to keep that top flat. Niether will paint for long. If those conditions are intolerable, glue a piece of light canvas to the top, then paint the canvas. It's a proven old method.
