Now that I have it all shined up, and sharpened...

A previous owner apparently had cut it down....might have been 26-28" long originally?
Anyone know this bolt pattern? I haven't found any traces of an etch. Medallion says Warranted Superior. Not sure if that is the OEM one.

It looks a bit like one of my saws that was damaged and cut off. I put a handle on it and sharpened it.
Who knows what it was, but it's a nice addition to the collection. I have 15 old Disston saws in my collection.

These are the ones that don't fit into the saw til....

I don't have a Bishop, or a Simonds catalog handy, I looked through the Atkins and have looked at Disstons....those two did not make a bolt pattern like that. Wondering who did make a saw with that bolt pattern.

Found a portion of a Bishop catalog.....not a match found.

Read through the Simond's 1923 catalog....not a match for that bolt pattern.

Doubt if Bailey or taran will chime in...they only show up to show me what mistakes I supposedly do....

Saw came from a farm along St Rt 127, just north of Greeneville , OH. Not that far from the IN border. Saw may have been a LOT longer....28-30" range. It is stamped as a 5-1/2.

Someone's "off brand"?
