Mystery Flattening Stone

I bought this flattening stone years ago, possibly from Garret Wade. The writing on the box is in two or three Japanese character sets, none of which I can read. The only English is #100, WA, and Made in Japan. The stone is about 100mm by 250mm and is slightly pink on the bottom. Any idea who makes them?

Given the size, shape and 100 id say its a Naniwa or was at least sold as such, i have an older tool catalogue somewhere around here that has the same stone as a Naniwa in it.
