After researching several "older" planers we found a used PM 180 for $2.k a little more than a year ago, along with many other "ancient" older tenoners, table saws, mortisers, you get the picture. We are close to getting the shop space ready and have a few orders to fill. The PM 180 is one of the best finds, she is sooo smooth, cuts very nice and I cannot find a complaint. Personally I cannot understand (personal choice I am sure) why anybody would look at purchasing a new machine. At a prior shop I was in we had a newer PM 15". I recall it being close to junk. We are a small scale sash and door manufacturer. We also found a Delta/Rockwell 12-14 for $600. For us it pays to look for the old stuff
