A veteran is someone who at some point in their life wrote out a blank check to the nation for everything up to and including their life. Rest in peace ANZAZs.

I did not know about Anzac, but while I was a child, I had two uncles that saw Pearl Harbor. I was a preteen when they returned.

One was a sonarman in the Navy.

You're welcome Wayne. I thought it was a very moving poem. When I researched ANZAC Day 2018 there were several references to it. He dedicated it to the Mothers.
