Can anyone help with this? Seeking a Shopsmith brand Motor, model VA3537AD80. Drive/feed motor for a Shopsmith 12 inch Pro planer. A housing only would be fine if the magnets are properly installed.

What's wrong with yours? I think it's a DC motor isn't it? I believe that's how they get the variable feed rate. In my area we have a starter/alternator motor repair shop that I'd certainly have look at it. They rewind armature's and similar repairs. If you wanted their name and contact info I can give it to you. But I don't know if it's anything they can help with.
