I needed to replace a wheel on my grinder and was going to get a Norton blue 46 grit. After reading here about CBN wheels and found LV price to be OK I decided to try one. I bought the 180 grit after reading posts here. I normally just use the wheels I have 36 grit grey wheels on a 6 inch standard 3600rpm grinder. I have never had a problem with this type of grinder. To me it's more technique than anything else. The new wheel looks great and was packed nicely to boot. I don't generally grind blades unless chipped badly. I hand sharpen. I did grind one chisel that was getting a little wonky just to check out all of the hype. Took about 30 seconds and didn't even get hot enough to notice. I like it. Have to see how long it lasts. Most of its work will be scratch stock cutters and the like. It sure looks pretty right now.
