Found one with a 1 1/4'' spindle and 5 h.p. single phase motor. does anyone have experience with this shaper ? Wondering if it is kind of in between true industrial and smaller 3 h.p. delta types ? Any info is welcome ,thanks,Mike.

I had some T40Ns for coping. I think that they were the successor to the T3. Good machines - compact and easy to move around, but smooth running. Pretty sure that the T3 also has a column fixed to the table that the spindle assembly moves up/down inside, like an industrial shaper. So yes, I think that it is where you are thinking on the spectrum of shapers: a lighter duty machine designed like an industrial workhorse.

Owned one. Also owned a 3hp Delta. Absolutely no comparison between the two, T3 winner hands down. Like JR said, its like a baby industrial, the delta was like a big router table in comparison. Very smooth machine, paid for itself many times before moving on.

The Delta, it just moved on..........
