View Full Version : Lightweight Faux Cedar Shingles

In coastal So Cal all the cedar shingle roofs get covered in mildew pretty quick, it looks terrible, so I'd like to look in to faux shingles that don't attract mildew, that I can install over skip sheathing like regular cedar shingles, looks good from below, and is not too heavy?

and then how about individual flat faux colored (I'd like a light blue) smooth roof tiles, again individual tiles installed over the skip?

There is (or was) a metal shake product out there. It's obviously very fire resistant.

No I need shingles that look good between the skip sheathing from below.
